Q: What does my registration fee cover?
A: Your registration fee includes entrance to Hugs for Hounds and it's speakers and all events (excluding Saturday Evening Dinner. Tickets must be purchased for the dinner) The registration fee helps defray operating costs such as venue rental fees, printing costs, merchandise costs,
administrative costs and all other costs to put on Hugs for Hounds. It also includes 1 swag bag per registration. The more registrations we have, the more money available to our Adoption Groups.
Q: Where does the money from the Auctions go?
A: After all costs, as with registration are paid ALL and any profit is donated to our participating Adotion Groups.
Q: I’m registered, but now am unable to attend. Will I get a refund?
A: Unfortunately no. All registration fees are considered a donation to Hugs for Hounds. All pre-ordered/pre-paid merchandise ordered (shirts, hats etc,) will be mailed to you after the event.
Q: I am a vendor, do I need to register for the event?
A: No, your vendor fee covers your attendance at all of the event’s activities, with the exception of the Saturday evening meal.
Q: What are my payment options?
A: You can pay with PayPal or E-transfer (preferred).
Q: I did not pre-register, but I’d like to still attend, is this possible?
A: Yes, you can register during the event on Saturday morning, however, you may not be able to attend the Saturday evening dinner if it is sold out.
Q: I registered but have not received confirmation, should I contact someone?
A: You should receive an e-mail confirmation within a week of registering. If you do not, please e-mail us at hugsforhound2@gmail.com
Q: I pre-paid for an event T-shirt, when/where do I get it?
A: When you check in at the registration desk, your pre-paid items will be waiting for you.
Q: How will I know if I have won anything in the Silent Auction?
A: One Silent Auction will close on Saturday afternoon . The closing time will be announced so you can check the bidding sheet to see if you are the winner. Winners must be present. Prizes will not be mailed. If you are not present the item will go to the bidder above you.
Q: How will I know if I have won anything in the Live Art Auction?
A: You will bid on the Auction items and take them with you should you win. Prizes will not be mailed.
Q: Are dogs welcome everywhere?
A: Dogs are welcome in all areas of Hugs for Hounds including the Saturday Evening Dinner and in the speaker area.
Q: Can my dog be off lead?
A: Your dog is only allowed off lead when it is in the fenced in dog run. It must be on a leash no longer than 6' at all other times.
NO RETRACTABLE LEADS
We suggest if you have a small dog you carry it when in the vendor/speaker area or use a stroller. There are 2 reasons for this: #1 - We don't want your little one to be stepped on or tripped over and #2 - Some greyhounds are not small animal friendly. This is for everyone's safety.
