This is one rule that will be strictly adhered to
If you show up with your dogs on a retractable lead, locked or unlocked, you will be asked to use one of our Hugs for Hounds leads which will be available at the registration table. This leash can be purchased for a nominal fee or returned when you leave.
Hugs for Hounds began in 2004 as a way to bring greyhounds and their humans together to socialize,
shop and best of all to raise funds for our participating Adoption Groups.
Greyhound Groups as well as other breed Adoption Groups will join us.
Vendors, speakers, exhibitors, fundraising BBQ and lots of fun for everyone.
Hugs for Hounds raises funds for our participating Sighthound Adoption groups. They are:
FLIGHTS - Finding Loving International Greyhounds Loving Homes Together & Salukis ((based in Paris, Ontario)
GLOHW-Greyhound Lovers of Hamilton Wentworth
Carlota Galgos Rescue Candada Inc. (Bobcaygeon, Ontario)
After costs All funds raised is donated to the groups. All non-aggressive, leashed dogs are welcome
(No retractable leashes allowed)
We will have some beautiful items in our Raffle and our Live Art Auction!
Hugs for Hounds IS NOT a registered charitable event therefore we can not supply tax receipts.
Hugs for Hounds may take photographs and/or video at this event for use in promotional material, including our website and Facebook page. By participating in Hugs for Hounds, you grant Hugs for Hounds the right to use your photograph and name for such purposes.
